Boundary surveys consist of all measurements, markings, computations, drawings, legal descriptions, and monumentation in order to accurately denote a parcel of land.

Topographical surveys are a comprehensive measurement of the physical features of a piece of land. This includes the location, elevation, and contours of all natural and man-made features.

ALTA stands for American Land Title Association. ALTA surveys are more comprehensive to support the needs of title companies and property insurance. These surveys generally identify all boundaries, easements, encroachments, local zoning information, and flood zone designations.

As-built surveys are detailed records of a project after its completion. They provide accurate representation of the actual dimensions, geometry, location, and materials used. As-builts are essential for ensuring compliance with specifications and serve as valuable reference for future renovations and/or maintenance.

FEMA Elevation Certificates are documents that demonstrate compliance with floodplain management regulations. They help to evaluate a building’s elevation in relation to flood risk, which can lead to lower flood insurance premiums.
